AgencyPort Hits the Road to Find out What Agents Want

Firm Launches Unprecedented Agent Insight Tour

AgencyPort Insurance Services, a leading provider of web-based solutions designed specifically for property and casualty insurers, today announced the launch of a one-month long Agent Insight Tour.

Designed to ascertain, firsthand, what is truly important to agents when it comes to workflow and IT solutions, the 1,400-mile road trip down the East Coast begins in Portland, Maine and ends in Orlando, Florida at the ACORD LOMA Insurance System Forum.

“AgencyPort has always developed solutions with the agent’s perspective in mind,” says Eric Harnden, Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer at AgencyPort. “It’s the only way we know how to create an effective solution that actually gets used. What better way to stay ahead of the agent curve than by asking them directly what works and what doesn’t?”

Traveling in a custom-decorated Agent Insight Tour truck, the AgencyPort team will conduct interviews with more than 100 agents in over 50 towns and cities. The entire adventure will be documented by video and tracked on AgencyPort’s blog (www.agencyport.com/tour). Findings from the interviews will be presented at the ACORD LOMA Insurance System Forum.

John Leonard, Chairman of ACORD and President and CEO of Maine Employer’s Mutual Insurance Company (MEMIC) will kick off the Agent Insight Tour which also aims to gain awareness for the ACORD Standard. “The ACORD Standard is extremely important to bridging the gap between agents and carriers; the Agent Insight Tour is just another example of how industry stakeholders are actively fueling its adoption.”
